Origins

The vineyard, purchased at the end of 2014, is located in Vinchio village, Asti Province.


Type of soil

Sandy soil, with good percentage of silt and veins of clay.

Harvesting time

September in surmaturation


Vinification

After a manual harvest in 5 kg boxes, the grapes are dried at controlled temperature and humidity until January. After a further selection of the grapes, they are pressed and the must is fermented into new 400 liters French oak Tonneaux.

Ageing

The ageing last around 12 months into the same barrels.


Bottling

It takes place after the necessary fining in the barrels. The wine is stored for 6-8 months before introducing it in the market.

Color

Golden yellow with medium intensity.


Nose

Intense, wide with ripe apricot notes, banana and a pleasant honey flavours.

Palate

Full of body, rich and complex, with a good balance between acidity and structure.


Degrees

13-13,5 % with 140 g/l of natural residual sugar.

Food Pairings

Great in combination with dry pastries but also with aged cheeses or fois-gras.
